EasyGarage ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at easygarage.com.au and use our platform (which includes workshop management, fleet rental management, and dealership tools).
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways:
- Personal Data: Name, email address, phone number, business name, and ABN that you voluntarily provide when registering for an account, filling out a form, or contacting us.
- Business Data: Data you enter into the platform, including customer records, vehicle records, job details, invoices, communications, rental agreements, and fleet or dealership records.
- Usage Data: Information about how you access and use our platform, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and time spent on the platform.
- Analytics and Tracking: We use analytics technologies to understand how our website is used and to improve it. This includes Microsoft Clarity, a third-party session-analytics tool, and our own first-party pageview analytics. Our first-party analytics run from our own code and send data only to our own servers — no third-party advertising networks are involved. They store a randomly generated visitor ID and session ID in your browser's local and session storage, and record the pages you view, the website you arrived from (referrer), and any campaign (UTM) or referral codes contained in your link.
- Inside the app: Inside the EasyGarage app we use Microsoft Clarity to record how the app is used, including screens, clicks and on-screen content (but not what is typed into fields), so we can find and fix problems. When the app hits an error or you send us feedback, we receive the details of what happened: your account, the screen you were on, your device and the error.
- Advertising: We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) on our website. It uses cookies to record the pages you visit and actions such as clicking to start a free trial, so we can measure our ads and show EasyGarage ads to people who have visited our website on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may combine this with other information it holds about you under its own privacy policy. We also use the Google tag for Google Ads (Google LLC) in the same way, to measure our ads and show EasyGarage ads to past visitors on Google Search, YouTube and partner websites. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, in Google's My Ad Center (myadcenter.google.com), or by blocking cookies in your browser.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our platform
- Create and manage your account
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Monitor and analyse trends, usage, and activities
- Deliver targeted advertising and marketing communications (with your consent)

3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting (Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Payment Processing
EasyGarage uses Stripe to facilitate payment processing for businesses on our platform. This includes:
- Invoice payments: When a business sends a payment link to their customer, the transaction is processed by Stripe on that business's connected Stripe account. EasyGarage does not store, access, or transmit card numbers or bank account details.
- Rental bond holds: When a rental business collects a security bond via our platform, Stripe places a temporary authorisation hold on the renter's card. The actual card data is handled exclusively by Stripe.
- Recurring rental billing: When a renter consents to automatic recurring charges (e.g. weekly rental payments), Stripe manages the subscription and stores the payment method. EasyGarage only stores a reference identifier (not card data) to manage the rental record.
- Stripe Connect: Businesses on our platform may connect their own Stripe account to collect payments directly from their customers. In doing so, they agree to Stripe's Privacy Policy and Connected Account Agreement.
EasyGarage is not responsible for the payment processing practices of Stripe. We encourage you to review Stripe's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle payment data.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. Our platform is built on enterprise-grade infrastructure with encryption at rest, automatic backups, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Your Rights Under Australian Privacy Law
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal requirements)

8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data and improve your experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.
We also set a first-party attribution cookie (eg_attr, which lasts up to 90 days) that records how a visitor first and last arrived at our website — for example, a flyer link, an online ad, or a search engine. When that visitor signs up for an EasyGarage account, this visit history is linked to their new account so we can understand which marketing brings people to us. This data is stored in our own database with Supabase, whose servers for this data are located in Singapore.
We also record a few anonymous actions on our website — which "Start free trial" buttons are clicked, which FAQ questions are opened, how far down a page people scroll, and which external sites they leave to (the site name only). These records carry the same random visitor id, contain no names, emails or other personal details, are stored in the same database, and are deleted after 180 days.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
